The Halifax River courses through Ormond Beach separating the peninsula from the mainland. Stately homes reside on both sides of the scenic river. Scenic John Anderson Drive runs along the river on the beachside and many beautiful older homes are available at incredible prices. Many of the river homes have boat ramps and river access.
